Lime Rock’s Summer Autocross series returns for its third season with more dates than ever; 2015 features 19 dates for drivers of all levels to find the limit in their own car.
The autocross is a 1/2-mile course that can be run in three different configurations. It includes camber and elevation change and the three types of corners found in racing. The course is specially designed to have grassy run-off areas. This allows drivers to explore the limit and test their abilities without fear of damaging their car.
Lime Rock has two different programs to choose from.
• Open Autocross Days: $225 per driver, includes two professional instructors and is limited to 24 drivers. This is for drivers looking for seat time and limited instruction
• Coaching Autocross Days: $400 per driver, includes four professional instructors and is limited to 12 drivers. This is for drivers looking for a more structured curriculum and one-on-one attention
AxIS (AutoX Invitational Shootout)
At all Open and Coaching Autocross Days, Lime Rock uses electronic timing equipment presented by Spectro Oils. At the end of the year, the fastest 20 drivers are invited back on behalf of Wells Fargo Advisors to AxIS, where they compete for ultimate glory... who's the champion? (Also known as bragging rights!)
