2012 Insider's Club The only thing more “inside” is to work here! The Insider’s Club is the ultimate way to enjoy the racing, camaraderie and friendship that are the hallmarks of Lime Rock Park. Being an “Insider” means you’re admitted to the track every day of every major event (plus VIP parking) along with enjoying the exceptional Race-Day Hospitality in the Lime Rock Chalet. The benefits and amenities include unlimited hot buffet food, prepared by Lime Rock’s own master chefs; all beverages, including wine and beer; and air conditioning, private bathrooms, closed circuit TV (when available), souvenir event programs and the opportunity to meet motorsport VIPs. Also, subject to a few restrictions, Insiders have access to the Pit Lane Tower. NEW for 2012: Insider’s Club Memberships are now “transferrable,” meaning that if a Member does not attend, a guest may use that Member’s hard card. Also new: Members may purchase one or more “season-long” hard cards, which can be used by friends, family and guests. Club Members also have the option of bringing a guest for any given single event by pre-paying $130 for that guest. The guest must also have a General Admission ticket to enter the grounds. These event-specific Insider’s Club passes must be purchased ahead of the event by calling the office at 860.435.5000; ask for Cathy Glasner, the Office Manager. Children 12 and under are welcome in the Insider’s Club for an additional $60 per day. 2012 Season Pass With a Lime Rock Park Season Pass, you get three major benefits. The first is it gets you into the track every day for all events that we sell tickets to: Trans-Am, ALMS, Ferrari Challenge, Historic Festival 30/Sunday in the Park and Grand-Am, plus any SCCA racing day. The second benefit: You pay less per day than what it would cost even if you bought tickets at the Advance Ticket prices (which itself are big discounts off the Gate Price). And the third benefit, back by popular demand, is that 2012 Season Pass-holders get Preferred Parking – the closest, most convenient parking spots in the Infield. And here’s an idea... Trans-Am & Royals Car Show, May 25-27, 2012 Lime Rock Park’s traditional season opener, the Memorial Day Race Weekend (Friday - Sunday; no Monday this year), will once again be jam-packed with top-rank sports car series races, featuring the newly revitalized SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series! This is Detroit's big iron going toe-to-toe with each other while fending off the advances of Europe's best sports cars. Stick around or come back Sunday for the third annual Royals Car Show: More than 200 of the tri-state area’s finest muscle cars, tuners, rods and antiques sitting pretty on the front straight, a show that benefits local charities. American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix, July 6-7, 2012 The fastest and “greenest” prototypes and GTs – the same cars and stars that race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Road Atlanta’s Petit Le Mans – makes this a frenetically paced two days of outstanding racing. The top LMP cars are as sophisticated as an F1 machine, and nowhere else in the northeast will you have the chance to get this close to the cars. Support races TBD. Ferrari Challenge, July 21, 2012 When Ferrari Challenge returned last year after a four-year hiatus, the response from Lime Rock fans was tremendous. The main paddock – always free access for all fans – was filled to the brim with all manner of Ferraris. So the red-hot Ferrari 458 Italia race cars grace the grounds again in 2012. For the tifosi among you, this is a heavenly Saturday of racing. Historic Festival, Aug 31 - Sept 3, 2012 This year's Honored Guest will be Sir Stirling Moss... No other venue in the U.S. has three days of on-track racing sandwiching a prestigious concours event – all on the same property. Since 1983, the East Coast’s premier vintage racing event has been the Historic Festival and its companion “Sunday in the Park Concours” (Sept. 2). With its famous free paddock access for all fans, Historic Festival 30 will be a feast for the senses: More than 300 vintage race cars will fill the grounds, Sir Stirling will be here for you to visit with, the Swap Meet in the Sunoco B Paddock will be packed, the Midway is always alive with activities, a famous collector will bring some terrific cars – and the racing on the track is non-stop from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Monday. There’s nothing like it anywhere on the East Coast! Grand-Am Rolex & Continental Tire Challenge Finale, Sept 28-29, 2012 For the Daytona Prototype’s third visit to Lime Rock Park, we’ve got a special treat: It’s the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 season-ender! That means there is a very good chance that you’ll be witnessing the race that decides the driver and carmaker championships in both DP and GT! The feature race on Saturday showcases the same cars that race in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. The Daytona Prototypes – Riley, Dallara, Lola and Coyotes powered by BMW, Chevy, Porsche and Ford engines – do battle at the same time with GT-class cars: the fire-breathing Corvettes, Porsches, BMWs, Mustangs, Camaros and Mazda RX-8s. Also on tap are the “showroom stock” cars in the popular Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, where virtually every automaker is represented in the Grand Sports (GS) and Street Tuner (ST) classes. Support races TBD. Guaranteed Infield Parking 2012 You now have the option of a Guaranteed Infield Parking spot on race days – regardless of when you arrive – for a fee of $15. We will hold a parking spot for you, even if you arrive just minutes before the green flag flies for the feature race! This does not mean we are charging for parking: If you want to park in the Infield for free, you must arrive early in the morning and you will likely be parked in the Infield – but we can’t guarantee that. Note: Guaranteed Infield Parking is simply a choice you have to guarantee that Lime Rock Park will save an Infield Parking spot regardless of when you arrive on a Race Day. Sports Car Club of America Keep your eye on the Lime Rock schedule page for Sports Car Club of America race dates, which bring hundreds of racers from all over the Northeast. Watch great racing for not a lot of money! The Region’s biggest race is the NARRC Run-offs on Saturday, October 1.
